AmeriCorps Seniors
Foster Grandparents

About Us

At the Foster Grandparent Program, we believe in the transformative power of intergenerational relationships. Our program brings together senior volunteers and children in need, fostering meaningful connections that make a lasting impact on both generations.

By joining the Foster Grandparent Program, you will spend at least 5 hours a week serving as a mentor and role model to children in your community's schools, daycare facilities, and other youth centers.

Foster Grandparents are important and valued members of our community. By serving, you will receive:

A stipend of $4.00 an hour.

Reimbursement for transportation and meals during service

Annual physical examinations

Accident/liability insurance (this would have no effect on your current benefits).

Monthly training sessions and a strong support network

Vacation and sick leave
