Aging & Disability Resource Center
An Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is a professionally-staffed office that assists seniors and persons with disabilities to navigate the state's long-term care system. ADRC professionals help individuals locate and apply for services that suit their independent living and long-term care needs.

A limited number of ADRCs began in 2003, funded by the federal government.
statewide ADRCs began in 2007, as a result of funding provided by Governor Joe Manchin III and the West Virginia's 78th legislature.

Eligibility
ADRC services are available for anyone over 60 years of age and individuals with physical disabilities over 18 years of age. Additionally, services are available for anyone acting on behalf of those individuals. There are no medical or financial eligibility criteria.
Services Provided
The ADRC helps to empower individuals to make informed choices about their long-term care needs. ADRCs provide resource information, coordinating services, and following up to ensure needs are met. Examples of long-term care services are nutrition, personal care, Medicare counseling, medical equipment, and legal assistance. Assistance is provided by specially trained social service professionals who are employed by the ADRC.
Limitations & Fees
There is no limit to the amount of hours provided by the ADRC. A individual will receive as many hours as needed to locate and coordinate services.

There is also no charge for services provided by the ADRC. Donations are accepted.
